Sally Huss - For a Bright and Happy World

NEWS

From M. Lapus Amazon Review:

Sally Huss's book first reads like the memoirs of a beautiful and talented tennis star discovering how exciting the world can be for a young woman open to romance and adventure. At fifteen, Sally was playing tennis and spending time with an equally young Ricky Nelson. Reading about her first love affair at Wimbledon and the fun years while working for Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. at Goldwyn Studios, the anecdotes that Sally Huss recount remind me of the most glamorous aunt or family friend of my mother's generation.

A catalyst leads Sally to rethink her approach and her life. With meditation and greater self awareness, Sally comes up with her "letter to the Sun" in which she describes the traits and characteristics of the right man for her. Then Sally prepared to meet this man - by putting herself and her life in order - both on the surface and "inside her mind and heart". Sally has a clear sense of the life that she wants and is strong enough not to settle for men or situations while being open to opportunities until she does come across the right person and relationship. Not surprisingly, this right man falls deeply in love with Sally. With patience, strength and love Sally and her man, Marv, create a life together. It's over 35 years since her letter to the Sun and Sally's book is her way of sharing her story and secret.

Review:
The Law of Attraction: How to Get Your Man - The Slam-Dunk Formula to Getting the Love of Your Life is a short and enjoyable read. The secret that she shares reminds me of the advice that my grandmother, quite a famous beauty in her time, would give me and my cousins. Although the drawings and photos give the book a self-published feel, the book is self-published and as you read it, you realize that adds to its particular charm.

Ten Stars ... Wise Wonderful Fun Book
I love this book!!!!!

As a widow I have always been science minded, but after reading Henriette Anne Klauser's book Write It Down, Make It Happen:  Knowing What You Want, and Getting It I knew I was on the right path to decluttering my mind.  Then this book The Law of Attraction:  How to Get Your Man -- The Slam-Dunk Formula to getting the Love of Your Life by Sally Huss came into my life and it was like the fresh rain that has stopped and you look up and there is a wonderful rainbow.

It's not a big book, but what she packs into it is to the point and informative.  It basically reminds you of when you were a kid and the whole world was full of opportunities that one need only go after.  And she gives you the tools you need to make it all work.

Just know her wisdom works!!

If you liked "The Secret" this book is for you.  So if you believe in self attraction this book is for you.  If you believe that you can obtain anything by knowing what you want and staying focused you will get what you desire, this book is for you.  If you are looking for where that Mr./Ms. perfect another book would be a better choice.  If you are looking how to bone up on your social skills again, another book would be better.

This book is a quick and entertaining read.  I felt that with the title of "The Law of Attraction: How To Get Your Man:" there might be a little more substance involved.  This isn't a how to book, but rather this book is about you knowing what you want and not settling for anything else.  I'll take her tip on writing down what I want in a potential partner, and I'll let you know if it works.

Its genuine and uplifting message will be a guide as you navigate through the sometimes choppy waters of life, and its practical focus will provide you with invaluable tools for the journey. A picture painted by artist/author Sally Huss hangs on a wall in the bedroom I share with my husband.  It embodies Sally’s love of light and life and brings a smile to my face every time I look at it.  Sally’s new book, How to Get Your Man (The Slam-Dunk Formula to Getting the Love of Your Life) does exactly the same thing.  Like her art, this book is simple, vivacious, colorful, and inspires the fulfillment of a treasured dream.
Sally’s formula for creating a true partnership works.  How do I know?  It’s almost word for word exactly how I drew my fabulous husband into my life over 28 years ago.
In How to Get Your Man Sally relates with direct, entertaining prose how she went through the arc of growing, learning, and ultimately engaging in a focus that speaks to the Universe and allows that Great Unknown to return to us that which we have dreamed.  Sally has outlined an easy to follow, step-by-step tutorial on creating relationships that work, but that many confuse because they complicate it with hidden agendas. Sally, through her own journey, discovered that she didn’t need a relationship to fix her, validate her, or take care of her.  She wanted one just because she wanted one.
On her 21st birthday she lost at Wimbledon, even though she was a top-seeded favorite.  It looked like Sally’s dream was being dashed, and yet it was just being born.  A few hours before the end of her “coming of age” day, she chose not to turn into a pumpkin at midnight.  She roused herself off of her bed and out of her depression and went out to celebrate herself – all by herself.  Sally lost center court that day, but discovered the pathway that would allow her to win her life – and with clarity, vision, and intention create the true partner of her dreams.
How to Get Your Man is a charming little book filled with big information and underwritten with joy.  And it delivers an added gift – it is illustrated with the delightful sunshine of Sally’s art and wise adages.
Life is waiting to respond to us with love and infinite possibilities.  Take advantage of the wise treats Sally offers.  It worked for her; it worked for me.  It will work for you!

Amanda M. Averitasm Review:

So of course I picked this first to read it was quick and who doesn't want to know this, unless you already have yours and then you're good to go.

This is a short and sweet look at the law of attraction in action for your personal life, a quick read and I have to say at first I didn't like the narration, but them it really grew on me and I felt like I was being told a story by an old friend, it was sweet and true and just honest, I really liked it, and you know by now if you have read any of my other reviews I'm not one to shy away from telling what I think about something. At first I had though oh no not another self help me happy book but I really got into this and at the end it has a neat kind of outline of step to attract your guy. The art work in the books is simple and reflective over all I went in with the notion I might not enjoy it but in the end really did. I will try the steps and see what happens. Recommendation: try it if only for a good story.

Emily Decobert Review:

More than ever there is a subculture of adults both young and old, who are single.  Even with so many, there is still a pressure to be married and the single person misses love and companionship.  This books, THE LAW OF ATTRACTION: HOW TO GET YOUR MAN, gives singles a fifty-five page guide to finding a perfect mate and how to have fun doing it.  her method focuses on the single deciding what he/she wants and doggedly going after it.

This method centers on not only finding a mate, but treating yourself well.  Ms. Huss encourages people to become the best they can become.  Pamper yourself!  Take care of yourself!  Then, you're in top form and mind and ready to meet your mate.  Most of us get bogged down in the rat race of life and forget that.  It is wonderful to find a book that reminds us that we have to care for ourselves before we can create change of any sort.

Ms. Huss's own story is interesting and inspiring, but there could have been more focus on the technique itself.  It is the system that the reader needs and they will want the process broke down so they can get into the guts of it and learn it well enough to apply it.

Patty Mooney, international award-winning producer, videographer, writer and still photographer Review:

If you have ever read the book, "Illusions," by Richard Bach, you'll know exactly what I mean when I say that it's a terse philosophical manual. You can sit down and read it in an afternoon while gleaning important instructions on how to be a happy human being.

Sally Huss's book, "How to Get Your Man: The Slam-Dunk Formula to Getting the Love of Your Life" is an even faster read than "Illusions" but anyone who properly digests the advice offered in it, will be very glad they picked up this thin tome to begin with.

Huss's book is sprinkled liberally with her own "happy musings" which are quotes about love accompanied by drawings. For instance, "The more you love, the more you will love" floats above vibrant hearts, bees, flowers and a snail.

Sally Huss not only shares her path to love but offers a practical method for finding that special someone you have been dreaming of. As Sally says, this "recipe" is also good for "other things such as finding a job, a career, a school, an apartment, a home or even to creating a desired lifestyle. It is the setting in motion of an intention which, through the infallible Law of Attraction, brings to you what you want, what your heart is truly set on."

That's worth the price of the book, don't you think? You can find this whimsical book (priced at $14.95) and learn more about Sally Huss at Sally's website.

"Sally Huss' book will be sure to bring the Sun and true love into
your life.  Her Sun Formula is fascinating and magical.  Not only is this a fool-proof plan she reveals and verifies, but anyone who wants to have a special person in their life would be a fool not to use it."

C.A. Lajos Review:

With a foreword by John Assaraf, Contributor to The Secret and President of OneCoach.com, this short, attractively packaged, self- illustrated publication by Sally Huss (Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, University of Southern California), a former U.S. and Wimbledon Junior Champion and Wimbledon Women's Division Semifinalist, leading artist/designer, author, and founder of her own company, Sally Huss, Inc., is according to the author's dedication, intended for "all those" people "regardless of age who have a place in their hearts for true love," even though one of its subtitles suggests that it primarily is written for women. Here Huss sets forth her own story and the seven- step, "slam- dunk" formula that she used to find her soul- mate, "keeper" husband Marv Huss, a former head of advertising and promotion for Hallmark Cards. Surprisingly simple, the author's formula for success, which can be applied to "anything you want to bring into your life whether it's finding a job, a place to live, or developing a creative passion," involves but is not limited to "focusing on what you want, engaging your heart and taking action." (p. 46) Huss also presents several of her "success stories," or narratives about people who have used her formula to find whom or what they wanted. Short, to the point, and well- written, this inspirational, "'mini "relationship" biography meets how to'" (Foreword, p. 5) book with photographs of the author and her family as well as with art works and maxims (11 black- and- white and 13 color photographs; 25 art reproductions) by the author, is recommended for general readers and some public library collections.

"I just finished reading "How to Get Your Man" and found it to have a wealth of practical information and wisdom about getting your heart's desire in all areas of life. It really is about being clear in your intentions and surrendering them to Spirit(Sun). I know it works because in my middle years of dating I made a list of the perfect man, he showed up and we've been together nearly 22 years. For me the perfect man is a friend, because when it's all said and done, you need someone to talk to and whom you can count on to be there at three in the morning if need be."
